We are proud to announce the release of Perpetual Protocol v2, also known as “Korean” on the Optimism mainnet. Although this launch is the culmination of months of work, we continue to plan many exciting developments for the future.
We would like to thank our community for their patience and participation in the development process. We hope to continue learning and building together.
Perpetual Protocol v2 “Curie” Overview
Let’s keep it brief and focus on Currie’s most valuable propositions. For a more detailed description of Curie and its various characteristics, see this post by blog or memo.
Corey is the result of Perpetual Protocol’s commitment to a user- and customer-driven approach. builder first (Building Method 1) for DeFi applications, providing unprecedented access to powerful financial tools for users and developers alike.
Corey integrates and creates one of the major DeFi protocols: Uniswap v3. With version 3, Uniswap introduced DeFi and the world to a concept concentrated liquidity (Concentrated liquidity): that is, the ability of liquidity providers to choose the place on the price curve to provide liquidity, greatly improving capital efficiency LP It opens the door to a range of strategies to provide liquidity in the process.
Curie’s integration with Uniswap v3 will allow liquidity providers to employ this powerful new liquidity strategy while taking advantage of the large trading volume generated by the most popular cryptocurrency trading product: perpetual futures..
Furthermore, Corey relies on one Ethereum Layer 2 Cumulative Scaling Solutions: Optimism. Ethereum Layer 2 Reactive Scaling Solutions: Optimism. This means faster trade execution at a lower gas cost, all built on the proven security and decentralization of the Ethereum network.
What do you get when you combine the latest liquidity provision strategies with Decentralized Derivatives Exchange (Decentralized Derivatives Exchange) which uses the latest Ethereum Layer 2 scaling technology? A highly liquid and highly configurable futures trading platform that would make any mad scientist feel proud.
Testnet’s Business Efficiency Summary
If you follow us on TwitterYou may have seen that we are running a small trading tournament on the Test Network called The Perfect Game. The purpose of this tournament was to create excitement for the release of version 2 and at the same time get a reward for fixing bugs.
The competition was a great opportunity to test the waters of v2. We will touch on some of the most notable ideas gleaned from the competition. For a more detailed summary, see this publishing.
In short, just under 3000 operators generated a trading volume of 480 million during the competition period (7 days). The commercial slip (Slippage trading) on Curie has achieved a 900% improvement over the first version and users have also seen a 4600% reduction in the cost associated with opening a position on version 2 compared to if it was on the Ethereum mainnet.
In addition to these improvements, we also obtained key feedback from participants; The most unanimous was that the user interface made it difficult to distinguish between creator and taker positions. This issue has been fixed to launch our mainnet. As mentioned, the purpose of the competition was to: test version 2 and debug before launch.
In addition to this UI issue, the other big finding was that it highlighted that our previous scaling solution could not provide the kind of high speed we demand for users. After careful deliberation about all the available options, we decided to release it on the site of optimism. You can find more details about this Here.
Along with these improvements, rest assured that we will continue to improve Curie, as well as add additional features provided in road map.

What’s next for permanent protocol?
One of the most interesting aspects of Korei is its high degree of The ability to compose Authorship ability. Collaboration is a core value of the Perpetual Protocol. Curie was built with this in mind and we believe it will play an important role in its success.
As such, we have several partners planning to launch employment Optimism with us in the near future like Visor Finance, Popsicle Finance, Teahouse Finance, dHEDGE And much more. You can see the full list of our partners in this post for blog or memo or below tweet From Perpetual Protocol co-founder Yenwen Feng.
To introduce new users to Curie, we have a new onboarding program. The program pays $200 to anyone who takes a call to get to know a Korean, deposit a minimum of $100 and make an exchange. There will be different calls on different dates. You can get more information and reserve your seat Here.
There will also be new additional incentive programs, including a gas discount program, cash withdrawals, and trading contests. Details of these programs are still being worked out, but the rewards will be retroactive and the rewards amount in US dollars PERP will increase the amount of rewards. Another good reason to follow us Twitter, join us discord And subscribe to our site bulletin.
Our first approach would be to add advanced order types, including Limited orders (limit orders). Next we will add multi support a guarantee Guarantees that will allow better commercial management.
after the multiplier a guarantee Guarantees, we will implement them private markets (We know you’re excited about this, and so are we.)
While we implement all the above features, we will monitor the development of other features chains (Strings) and L2s and we will explore the possibility of releasing them when we consider them appropriate.
We hope this release announcement will be as exciting to read as it was for us to write. It’s an exciting time at Perpetual Protocol, and we’d like to take this opportunity to invite readers who haven’t already to join our controversy. It’s a beautiful and informative place and we’d love to see you there.
