Nokia with an Android phone back in 2014?


HMD Global recently pleasantly surprised us with the preparation of a rich collection of new Nokia smartphones with the Android mobile operating system. These are intended for the most demanding users as well as beginners in the field of mobile phones. Although Nokia’s first Android smartphone was only launched in 2017, Nokia was already considering the very popular operating system back in 2014.

Pictures and information about Nokia’s first Android smartphone have been published online. This was actually an X Platform, and Nokia nauOS was based on the Android KitKat mobile operating system. For those times, it was a very interesting device that is sure to impress many.

An interesting Nokia smartphone was based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 mobile processor. Android 4.4.2 KitKat with a dedicated graphical interface is installed on the built-in memory. This is very similar to the graphic interface of a Windows Phone smartphone. However, Nokia’s first Android smartphone was only released in January 2017.
