Google started selling Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones some time ago. The newcomers are basically exactly the same, except that the Pro version is for photography enthusiasts. It has a 4x optical zoom camera and a larger image sensor for better quality photos. Both newcomers are powered by Google’s own Tensor processor.
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones are not cheap. The less powerful Pixel 6 costs €650 and the Pixel 6 Pro €900, so rumors have surfaced online that Google will come with another new model. This is the Pixel 6a, which is supposed to belong to the middle price range. However, the novelty will offer a number of advanced options that are now only available for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.
The fact that Google is already working on the Pixel 6a smartphone is demonstrated by the fact that it is already known when the new product will go on sale. If the online rumors are to be believed, this will happen on May 26. Although Google initially planned to deliver the news a little faster, this did not happen due to a number of factors. The biggest problem, of course, is the lack of electronic components.
The Pixel 6a will likely have a 15.7cm or 6.2-inch OLED display. The screen will have a dedicated hole for the webcam in the middle, and under the screen we will find the fingerprint reader. The rest of the equipment is expected to include Google’s Tensor processor, 8GB of system memory, 128GB of storage, and a 50MP main camera. Of course, there will also be a fast charging system and a rich set of different technologies that will make our daily life easier and more interesting.
