Huawei has introduced the latest smartphones of the long-awaited P series – Huawei P50 Pro and foldable Huawei P50 Pocket, which will impress lovers of high-end mobile photography and stunning design.
For some time now, we’ve been wondering less and less if it’s possible to capture the same quality photos with a phone as with a classic SLR camera. With each new P series smartphone, Huawei pushes the boundaries of what is possible and affirms and cements its position as a leader in mobile photography. Once again, Huawei has proven itself and raised the level of potential even higher.
In the phones presentation, Derek Yu, President of Huawei Consumer BG for Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Canada and Turkey said: “For ten years now, we have been pushing the boundaries of mobile photography with P-series smartphones and elevating the capabilities. With advanced Huawei XD optics and the XD Fusion Engine, we are now allowing Huawei P50 Pro smartphone users to create photos with amazing color and detail. But we have come a step further. Go ahead and develop the Huawei P50 Pocket foldable smartphone, which is uncompromising in design, design, cameras and performance.”
Immerse yourself in advanced mobile photography with the Huawei P50 Pro
The Huawei P50 Pro has inherited the excellent P series franchise in the field of versatile mobile imaging and has become their most advanced smartphone in the field. The powerful device will allow mobile photography lovers to work at a professional level and capture surrounding images with beautiful colors and full details. It is perfect for anyone who feels the need to create and capture beautiful life moments, but standard smartphone cameras are not enough for them.
Advanced technologies for higher image quality
Throughout the existence of the P series, Huawei has been committed to designing the latest camera technology and image quality. As a logical development step, Huawei P50 Pro is the first dual matrix camera system with a main matrix, which includes a color (RGB) lens, a monochromatic lens and a multispectral light sensor. Thanks to True-Chroma Shot and XD Fusion Pro technologies with the new Super Color filter, True-Chroma Image Engine and Super HDR, images are colorful and full of detail even in low-light conditions and the best possible reproduction of what the human eye can see. The new phone is equipped with a periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom or 100x magnification, while the ultra-wide lens is equipped with stabilization technology, for easy capture of small or very distant objects with high accuracy. The Huawei P50 Pro smartphone also supports Huawei XD optics, which eliminates optical errors and restores details in photos.
Leadership capabilities and user experience
In addition to exceptional photographic performance, Huawei’s P series smartphones have always stood out for impressive design with performance. The Huawei P50 Pro is no exception, boasting a large display, 4,360mAh battery, 66W Huawei SuperCharge wired charger, and 55W wireless charging, although it remains thin and light to comfortably fit in the palm of your hand. The phone’s screen is curved on both sides (3D), supports 120Hz refresh and 300Hz touch sampling for a smooth and responsive visual experience, provides support for the P3 color palette and is capable of displaying 1.07 billion colors. The end-use experience is rounded off by the stereo speakers with powerful sound that you’ll feel coming from all directions.
When it comes to design, you will surely be convinced by the revolutionary design of the Dual Array Camera, which gives the Huawei P50 Pro smartphone a distinctly elegant look and creates a professional photography experience. It is available in two beautiful colours, gold (cocoa gold) and black (golden black) and is water and dust resistant to IP68 standard.
Meet the revolutionary design of the P50 Pocket
The P50 Pocket smartphone brings innovation in both technology and design. It is the first foldable device in which the excellence in photography and performance is not compromised by design characteristics. As such, it is ideal for lovers of quality and innovative innovations who do not want to accept compromises.
Huawei P50 Pocket is a foldable smartphone with the ability to fold along the horizontal axis, while providing groundbreaking performance. Namely, Huawei has introduced a unique folding mechanism or a centrally-mounted multi-dimensional hinge (Multi-Dimensional Hinge Technology), which rises when the device is opened to create a larger, completely flat screen. The hinge is not only made strong, durable and solid, but also ensures that there is no gap between the two halves when the device is folded.
Despite the peculiarity of the design, the thickness of the new phone is only 15.2 mm when folded and 7.2 mm when open. Equipped with two screens for a better user experience. The main screen is a 17.5 cm (6.9 inch) adjustable OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 442 ppi pixel density, 1.07 billion colors display and P3 color palette support for a cinematic visual experience. The second, smaller screen on the back is ideal for displaying a set of selected information and can easily be used to manage music playback, check the calendar, take photos or record videos, and view notifications. The Huawei P50 Pocket is available in two colors, black and white. In some places, there will be a special edition designed by Dutch fashion designer Iris Van Herpen that has a special texture of delicate 3D carvings.
The 4000mAh Huawei P50 Pocket offers a long battery life, supporting 40W Huawei SuperCharge fast charging, but still maintains a slim and elegant design. It has a built-in Super Privacy Mode, which automatically disables the cameras, microphone, and location services when the device is folded.
