HONOR is the number one Android smartphone brand in China, after launching 14.2 million devices in the last quarter of 2021.
• The growth of phones delivered to HONOR increased by 253.4% in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. It is one of the fastest growing brands in China.
• HONOR increased its growth in the Chinese market by 18% in August 2021 (compared to the same month in 2020).[1]
The quarterly report on the smartphone market of IDC Analytics shows that HONOR in China in the last quarter of 2021 exceeded all expectations, as its market growth increased compared to 2020 by 235.4% over the same period, which means that HONOR is the best. The second smartphone manufacturer in its country and the first among Android smartphones with 14.2 million phones delivered to the market in the last quarter of 2021. In 2021, HONOR delivered 38.6 million smartphones[2]which was a significant increase compared to 2020 – which means HONOR is among the top five smartphone manufacturers.
Market growth in 2021 has been very important for HONOR, both in the new hardware segment and in the development of ground-breaking high-tech innovations. For further growth, the introduction of new and high-end smartphones such as HONOR 50, HONOR 50 Lite and HONOR Magic V was significant – this is the first smartphone with a foldable screen.
In November 2021, HONOR introduced the HONOR Intelligent Industrial Manufacturing Complex. The following activities take place within the industrial zone: quality control of new products, production Main Hardware (hardware of the highest quality), new production, technology incubators and the development of artificial intelligence. The park is another step towards their goal of providing first-class products with best-in-class user experience to consumers around the world.
In 2022, HONOR will present itself in the global market with “The Power of Magic” event as part of this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
