Samsung recently announced the new Galaxy S22 family of phones. With this, the South Korean giant has actually set a new standard for high-end smartphones. Along with the new Galaxy S22 family of smartphones, Samsung has also announced a policy change to upgrade high-end smartphones and tablets.
Samsung will provide users of its high-end mobile devices with up to four major upgrades to the Android operating system. This means that if the device comes with Android 11 pre-installed, it will also get Android 15. In addition, Samsung has introduced security patches for five years, which is undoubtedly a very welcome news.
Samsung’s new update policy, of course, only applies to high-end smartphones and tablets. Among them are the following smartphones: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 +, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 FE. In addition, the latest tablets included in this program are the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 + and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Hopefully, other manufacturers of Android smartphones and tablets will soon decide on a similar move.
