Coming soon, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U…

Then we have bad news for anyone still using the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U handheld game consoles. Nintendo has announced that it will soon stop selling and developing new games for its not so popular consoles. This actually means that users will no longer be able to access the Nintendo eShop, including the free and trial versions of the games.

Users of Nintendo 3DS and Wii U gaming consoles will be completely denied access to the Nintendo eShop in March next year. The first step towards revoking access will begin on August 29 this year. Nintendo 3DS and Wii U users will not be able to add money to the Nintendo eShop Card.

As mentioned earlier, after March 2023, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U users will not be able to download new games. In addition, they will no longer receive software updates. Unfortunately, Nintendo will also prevent them from playing games online.
