When the first Apple M1 processor was introduced a good year ago, there was a lot of enthusiasm among computer enthusiasts. The new product achieved three times higher performance in synthetic tests than the quad-core Intel processor, which was built in the previous generation of Apple computers. The integrated graphics solution has also undergone significant performance improvements, as it is expected to deliver up to six times the performance of the previous generation.
Although Apple introduced more advanced Silicon M1 Pro and Silicon M1 Max processors at the end of last year, experts are convinced that a new computer giant processor will be available soon. There have been rumors on the Internet that Apple recently launched the production of its M2 mobile processor. This is supposed to be based on the latest production process, known as advanced 5nm technology (5nm plus or N5P). In addition, it will be equipped with an integrated graphics core and advanced artificial intelligence.
Apple is expected to equip quite a few PCs with the new M2 processor this year. They include 13-inch MacBook Pro computers, Mac Mini computers, 24-inch iMac desktop computer, and a refurbished MacBook Air laptop. Apple may reveal the first computers with a powerful M2 processor to the public in March of this year. In all likelihood, this will be your new iMac desktop computer.
