12th generation Intel processors…

Visitors to CES 2022 were pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the Alder Lake-H family of processors. This is the 12th generation of Intel H family processors, which will be intended for both desktop and laptop computers. The main advantage of Alder Lake-H Intel processors is the support for DDR5 system memory. However, when fully loaded, it consumes only 45 watts of power.

However, since Intel Alder Lake-H processors are not quite suitable for compact laptops, Intel has developed two new families of 12th generation processors. These are Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-U processors, which consume up to 20 watts (Alder Lake-P) and up to 15 watts (Alder Lake-U) when fully loaded. The new processors, of course, are fully compatible with DDR5 system memory and the PCI-E 5.0 data bus.

The 12th generation of new Intel processors for compact laptops will be available in the form of Core i7, Core i5, Core i3, Pentium and Celeron families. The most powerful Core i7-1280P will recalculate data with 14 physical processors and 20 virtual cores. The first laptops equipped with the new Intel processors will be on the market in March. It will be launched in the market by all the major compact laptop manufacturers such as Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, NEC and Samsung. Expect to know more about the new arrivals soon.
