Acer recently pleasantly surprised us with its Swift 5 laptop. It’s powered by a 12th generation Intel or Alder Lake processor. New Intel processors use up to 12 processor cores to transform data using 10nm technology. This means that they are more efficient to operate and consume much less electricity. Therefore, it is supposed to compete with AMD’s Ryzen processors without any issues.
Acer Swift 5 laptop is equipped with a high-quality screen with a diagonal of 14 inches 35.6 cm and a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The aspect ratio this time around is 16 to 10, while the previous model had an aspect ratio of 16 to 9. The aluminum body is painted two shades of gray, which of course gives it a more premium look.
The new Acer Swift 5 laptop will handle the most demanding tasks. It contains up to 16GB of LPDDR5 system memory and up to 2TB of Solid State Drive. The charged battery guarantees up to 10 hours of worry-free operation of the novelty. 30 minutes of charging is enough for up to four hours of playback. Here we find four more Thunderbolt 4 ports, two from USB 3.2 Gen 1 and HDMI 2.1.
The refurbished Acer Swift 5 laptop will go on sale in June. The new product will be sold initially in the United States, and later elsewhere in the world. This is not expected to be cheap, as the recalculated € 1,330 will have to be deducted for the entry-level version.
