Tom’s Hardware USA web portal enthusiasts recently proved that the Intel Core i9-12900KS processor is extremely powerful to run. They used Cinebench R23 benchmarking software for testing. The new Core i9-12900KS performed well even with the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor. Specifically, it achieved a 29.6 percent better result in the single-core mode of operation. In multi-core mode, it was 6.7 percent faster. It is worth noting that testing with an Intel Core i9-12900KS processor was conducted in conjunction with DDR5-6200 32-38-38-76 memory. For the Ryzen 9 5950X, DDR4-3200 14-14-14-36 system memory was used.

The Core i9-12900KS processor is equipped with 16 cores (8 P-core cores and 8 E-core cores) and recalculates data at a default frequency of 3.4 GHz. In addition, it has 30 megabytes of L3 cache. In practical terms, this means that the novelty is ideal especially for the most demanding arithmetic tasks and playing computer games. Unfortunately, the novelty is anything but energy efficient. At full load, you can use up to 260 watts or 19 watts more than the Core i9-12900K.

In practice, this means that the Core i9-12900KS processor will need a sufficiently powerful power supply. In addition, it will be necessary to provide excellent cooling novelty, which will certainly be a bet. In return, we will get a processor that can easily cope with the most demanding tasks.
