At the last Apple conference, we saw a worthy successor to the Apple M1 processors. This is the M1 Ultra processor that actually combines two Silicon M1 Max processors. In practical terms, this means that the new processor is suitable for more intensive tasks and for editing videos. Apple was able to achieve this with the help of the advanced UltraFusion technology. This ensures a fast and reliable connection for the two M1 Max processors.
As mentioned earlier, Apple’s new M1 Ultra processor has twenty processor cores. 16 cores are for the most demanding tasks, and four are for saving electricity. Up to 64 graphics cores are available to convert graphic content. In practical terms, this means that the new version is supposed to offer eight times more graphics performance compared to the M1 processor. Of course, its size is also suitable for this.
The new Apple M1 Ultra processor is three times larger than classic Intel and AMD processors. The novelty is huge despite the fact that TSMC used advanced 5nm technology to make it. In addition, the Apple M1 Ultra processor also needs a powerful cooling system. This includes a large aluminum rib and two fans, ensuring optimal cooling for the powerful processor.
