In the second half of last August, Intel revealed that it is preparing a special family of graphics cards that will also be used in playing computer games. This is a family of graphics cards that will be marketed by the computer giant under the name Arc. Although it will be ready for sale in the second quarter of this year, it will have to wait a little longer. Experts are convinced that these will be available in the third quarter of this year, that is, between July and September.
Intel is expected to initially offer up to five graphics cards from the Arc family, namely the A770, A750, A580, and A380. The most powerful models (A770 and A750) will be equipped with up to 512 processor units and up to 16 GB of GDDR6 graphics memory. The data interface will be up to 256 bits, providing data transfer speed of up to 512Gbps. The less powerful A580 and A380 models will have up to 384 CPU cores and 12 GB of GDDR6 graphics memory. The data interface will be 192 bits and will provide a data transfer rate of 384 Gbps. This should be enough for slightly more demanding content.
The fifth model is supposed to be equipped with the designation Arc A780. In terms of performance, it can easily compete with the GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards. The A770 is expected to be comparable to GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards. More information about Intel graphics cards will be known in the third quarter of this year.
