It is the world’s smallest, lightest and most compact projector with a brightness of 20,000 lumens.
Epson, the world’s leading brand of projectors[1] And the largest professional projector manufacturer in Europe, Middle East and Africa[2], introduced the latest generation of compact, efficient, lightweight and high-brightness 3LCD projectors. The projectors are on display in showroom 3J100 at the ISE trade fair in Barcelona.
Building on the successful EB-L20000U family, Epson introduced a new range of high-brightness 3LCD projectors. The PU2200U family includes the world’s smallest and lightest models with a brightness of 20,000 lumens (EB-PU2220B / EB-PU2120W), which are 70% smaller and 50% lighter than their predecessors (EBL20000U family).
The new series brings significant advantages to users, including significantly smaller size and lower weight, easier installation and setup, simplified maintenance, and excellent image quality. Designed for use in large halls, live events, concerts and conference rooms, the new series of ultra-lightweight compact laser projectors deliver a powerful, in-depth image viewing experience.
It also delivers significant environmental benefits, including lower energy consumption, significantly reduced packaging requirements with a lower carbon footprint, as reduced weight and volume make display devices easier to store, transport and install, saving storage space, labor and delivery costs.
The PU2200 family of projectors includes models with brightness of 13,000, 16,000 and 20,000 lumens, delivering WUXGA resolution with 4K enhancement, HDR, and advanced stabilization features. The compact and lightweight series offers a number of features that greatly benefit the rental and fitting sector, such as compatibility with existing Epson lenses. Projectors are easy to integrate with existing infrastructure, as they allow for flexibility of installation and connectivity and forget about reliability.
All models on offer include functions that allow for easy installation, folding, flexibility and lens control. It also includes a built-in function of composing a projector image without using a PC, which means that two supported projectors can be combined to double the brightness without the need for external computer software. Additional features include NFC functionality for easier installation, allowing communication between NFC-compatible projectors and Android smartphones, even when the projector is turned off.
The new projectors also include improved dust protection, a hermetically sealed optical drive and laser light source unit that prevents dust contamination and thus provides greater durability. The optical drive and light source unit are IP5x certified[3]Epson uses a highly efficient water-cooling system for added reliability.
“We are very excited to be able to unveil our latest generation of ultra-lightweight and compact high-brightness projectors at ISE. I am confident that this new 3LCD platform will become the benchmark for industry quality and flexibility in an important and growing market segment of 20,000 lumens projector, not only providing installation time and shipping costs for users, but also reduce the environmental impact.” Massimo Pizzocre, Vice President of Video Projectors Sales and Marketing at Epson, added: “As the world’s leading projector manufacturer, we have listened well to our customers and believe that the new family of projectors It meets the market needs for a more compact and lightweight space, reliable and versatile high-brightness projectors.”
