In the second half of March, MediaTek officially announced the arrival of the Dimensity 9000 mobile processor. It was the first mobile processor to be built using advanced 4nm technology. The novelty of data conversion provides eight processor cores. Here, a powerful three-GHz ARM Cortex-X2 core, four power-efficient Cortex-A510 cores, and three processor cores are available for typical ARM Cortex-A710 computing tasks. In combination with artificial intelligence, the high-performance graphics core ARM Mali-G710MP10 can compete with the graphics content.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 mobile processor is expected to support 5G mobile networks and Wi-Fi 6. In addition, it offers support for FullHD+ displays up to 180Hz and WQHD+ displays up to 144Hz. Of course, the novelty also supports LPDDR5X system memory and image sensors for digital cameras with a resolution of up to 320 megapixels. However, since the competition in the field of mobile processors does not stop, its successor has already been prepared.
We are, of course, talking about the mobile processor MediaTek Dimensity 9100, which is already at the stage of active testing. This actually means that it may only be a matter of time before the novelty becomes available to mobile device manufacturers. If online rumors are to be believed, the MediaTek Dimensity 9100 mobile processor will be the first to be built using 3nm technology. In practice, this means that it will provide higher capacity with lower electricity consumption. It is expected that more new arrivals will be known soon.
