The latest launch of Apple’s M2 mobile processor continues to reverberate on the World Wide Web. The novelty was made with the help of 5 nanometer technology, and in total it has 20 billion transistors available for data conversion. That’s 25 percent more than the Apple M1 processor. The data transfer speed is up to 100 Gbps, which is equivalent to half of the M1 processor.
If Apple is to be believed, the new M2 processor is very powerful. This device delivers 18 percent more performance than its predecessor. Graphic capacity is 25 percent higher, or 35 percent higher at maximum power. The computing power of the AI has also increased compared to the M1 processor, by 40 percent.
At the beginning of next year, we promised to develop the Apple M2 processor. The computer giant is expected to introduce up to three improvements to the new processor, the M2 Pro, Max and Ultra. If online rumors are to be believed, all three processors will be built using advanced 3nm technology. In practice, this means more capacity with lower power consumption.
Apple will be incorporating the new processors into many of its products. First will be the mini Mac computer, which will get an M2 processor for more performance. A little later, Apple is expected to introduce MacBook Pro laptops (14-inch and 16-inch), which will be equipped with more powerful M2 Pro and M2 Max processors. The newcomer is expected to be ready in early 2023, along with an advanced Mac Pro desktop. It is supposed to be equipped with a very powerful Apple M2 “Extreme” processor, which means that it will be intended for the most demanding users and, of course, working environments with special needs.
