The company Kioxia has revealed to the public very interesting memory modules that will delight many users of compact electronic devices. These are the Xfmexpress XT2 replaceable ROMs, which are much faster compared to their predecessors. Specifically, the newcomers are equipped with both the PCIe 4.0 2 data bus and the NVMe 1.4b data protocol.
Xfmexpress XT2 memories are intended for embedded computer systems, IoT devices, automobiles, video surveillance cameras, and other systems that need fast memory. At the same time, the new arrivals are designed in such a way that they can be quickly removed. The new Memories is hardly any bigger than a microSD card, measuring 14 x 18 x 1.4mm and weighing just 0.8g. In addition, they offer data transfer speeds of up to four gigabits per second.
The Xfmexpress XT2 memories from Kioxia are available in 256GB and 512GB capacities. Memory capacities of 128 GB and 1 TB are expected to be available soon. Since they are replaceable memories, this means that they can be replaced if necessary without any problems or special tools. Interesting memories will be presented to the public at the August Flash Memory Summit 2022, which will be held on August 2 in the US state of California.
