Xiaomi has officially launched the new Xiaomi 12S series, which was produced in collaboration with Leica. This exceptional series of imaging products is the first to mark the strategic partnership in imaging technology between Xiaomi and Leica. Xiaomi and Leica jointly developed advanced optical lenses to push imaging technology to new frontiers. The primary camera of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra uses an 8P aspherical lens to eliminate common shooting problems such as flare, blur and chromatic aberration, and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra camera module features anti-glare lens coating, ink coating on the edges of the lenses and a cyclic. Professional Wide Angle Camera with 1″ Extra Large Sensor
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is equipped with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, which uses a Quad-Bayer pixel matrix with individual pixel sizes up to 1.6 μm. After incorporating the pixels, this is down to 3.2 µm, which reduces noise, extends dynamic range, increases the light captured and allows for better low-light images overall. Xiaomi 12S Ultra HyperOIS uses very stable operation, which enables continuous motion compensation during video recording. HyperOIS uses the gap between two frames to push the OIS engine back to its original position, giving each frame a full, efficient range of stabilization.
The Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro both have Sony’s IMX707 as the primary sensor, which includes both large sensor size and large pixel, at 1/1.28 inch and 2.44 μm after pixel assembly. Powered by Xiaomi AI Image Solution and Xiaomi ProFocus, these sensors enable fast startup, single capture, and continuous image capture. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra, produced in collaboration with Leica, is the first flagship phone with two special Xiaomi Surge chipsets, Xiaomi Surge P1 fast charging chips and the Xiaomi Surge G1 battery management chipset. The latter allows for significant improvements in battery management and the overall user experience.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra supports 67W wired fast charging, 50W fast wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. The core of the Xiaomi Surge battery management system is the 4860mAh single-cell silicon anode battery and the Xiaomi Surge P1 fast charging chipset, which also supports up to 16A of output current with a conversion efficiency of 96.8%. Superior Performance, Superior Screen
The Xiaomi 12S series, the latest Xiaomi flagship series developed in collaboration with Leica, is powered by the all-new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform built on the TSMC 4nm process. Compared with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Core is 21% smaller, and both CPU and GPU have 10% improved performance and 30% improved power efficiency.
