Valuable gifts for officials
The Verkhovna Rada has temporarily abolished the maximum value of gifts for officials and deputies, if they are to be used for the needs of the armed forces or to help war victims.
The “inevitability of default” in Belarus
The international rating agency Fitch Ratings, based in London, has lowered the default long-term issuer rating of the Republic of Belarus from “CCC” to “C”. The new indicator means “imminent default”.
If Belarus does not pay the Eurobonds by the end of the grace period, on July 13, on the original terms (i.e. in dollars), then Fitch will consider this a default and lower the country’s rating to “RD” (restricted default), and the rating of this debt issue – to “D” (shortened).

The successes of the armed forces in the south
The OC “South” reported that the losses of the occupiers in the south during July 8 were as follows: 194 soldiers, three Russian ammunition depots, 42 pieces of equipment, including:
- 2 multiple rocket launcher systems “Grad”;
- 2 command and staff cars;
- 4 anti-aircraft missile complexes “Pantsir-S1”;
- one launcher for the Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile complex;
- 6 self-propelled howitzers “Acacia”;
- 26 units of auto equipment;
- Orlan-10 unmanned reconnaissance aircraft.
Nord Stream gas turbines
The German government has received a positive signal from Canada regarding the delivery of a turbine to Germany, which is “necessary for the maintenance” of the Nord Stream-1 gas pipeline.
A well-informed source told Reuters:The decision to return the turbine has already been made“.

Ukraine has opposed Canada’s transfer of turbines to Russia’s state gas company “Gazprom” to supply natural gas to Germany, as it contravenes sanctions against Russia.
Sumy area bombing
On July 8, the Russian occupation forces continued to bombard the territory of the Sumy region, as a result of which a local farmer was wounded. Now the man is in the hospital. This was announced by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zevitsky.
It was reported that during the day the occupiers fired 18 shells, in total more than 100 calibers of various weapons. The enemy mostly used rockets, mortars and artillery.
