MSI is packed with amazing power supplies for the graphics cards of the future

The new graphics cards coming to market in the next few months will bring much higher capacities. Among them, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card should be highlighted, which will be the first to go on sale. This would actually be able to reach up to 40 teraflops of power at full load. At the same time, it can use up to 600 watts of electrical energy.

Thus, increased consumption and performance means that users will have to supply their monsters with a power supply of at least 1000 watts (depending on the processor). Therefore, it is not surprising that MSI has also prepared a new family of power supplies for the MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 and MEG Ai1000P PCIE5 families. The innovations can produce up to 1,300 or 1,000 watts of electrical power at full load, which would be ideal for new graphics cards.

The main advantage of the MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 and MEG Ai1000P PCIE5 power supplies is that they are already equipped with a connector for graphics cards with the PCIe 5.0 data bus. In addition, it is compatible with the ATX 3.0 standard. Effectively this means that it has a connector called 12VHPWR, which has a total of 16 contacts. When fully loaded, this can provide up to 600 watts of electrical power directly to the graphics card.

MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 and MEG Ai1000P PCIE5 power supplies are equipped with multiple 8-pin PCIe interfaces, which provide users with maximum flexibility. Here we also find a 120 mm fan for quiet cooling of the power supply. The cake was crowned with an 80 PLUS Platinum certificate. Unfortunately, MSU has yet to reveal the availability date and retail price for the newcomer. However, the latter would definitely not be too low.
