Philips TV & Audio products have been awarded once again for their outstanding picture and sound quality.
- Philips Fidelio FB1 won the award EISA for Best Integrated Audio System in 2022-2023
- The PUS8807 55 inch monitor won the award EISA Best Family TV 2022-2023
- 65 inch OLED + 937 won the award EISA Best Home Theater TV 2022-2023
- The 55-inch OLED807 screen won the award Best Buy for OLED TV 2022-2023 from EISA
The current TP Vision programme, which undoubtedly sets standards guidelines for television and audio products under the Philips brand, has once again been awarded the prestigious EISA Awards 2022/2023. This year, the brand has received three EISA Awards for Televisions and an EISA Award for Audio Products.
Philips OLED TVs with Ambilight technology enjoy continued success at the EISA Awards. The reason for this is the combination of exceptional picture and sound quality, innovative technology and premium European design. This combination makes Philips OLED TV award winners again in 2022, and they are joined by the Performance 8807 Series with Ambilight technology. It is marketed under the unique name “The One”, which for the user means a premium product that has all the required technological features. At the same time, it is distinguished by its simplicity of use, reasonable price and competitiveness.
In the audio product category, the revival of the Fidelio series continues to gain momentum. It was also recognized by EISA, this time giving it a second straight win in the loudspeaker category, with Major Fidelio TAFB1 receiving the highest possible accolade for 2022/2023.
The EISA (Expert Imaging and Sound Association) Awards represent the highest recognition in the audio and video industry. For the past 40 years, the organization has selected only the best in the field of television, picture and sound – all unique products were evaluated by a jury of the best EISA experts, consisting of 59 of the most professional technical and audio publications. Teachers from 30 countries around the world.

Presenting the 2022 EISA TV 65OLED+937 Home Theater Award, members of the evaluation team said:Sound quality is high on every TV buyer’s wish list, and Philips definitely puts it ahead with its 65-inch OLED+ 937 display. The TV’s built-in speaker system, designed by Bowers & Wilkins, perfectly matches the impressive picture performance of the “EX Royal” ultra-bright OLED display and the P5 AI Dual Picture Engine, with the most advanced image processing in HDR formats. This 5.1.2 channel sound system features beautiful surround sound. All-new audio modules, along with the up-and-coming Dolby Atmos modules, expand the sound field into the third dimension. The titanium dome tweeter in the center delivers exceptionally clear dialogue, while the 100 x 65mm bass unit delivers powerful sound. It is also necessary to note the design, since the well-thought-out shape of the slightly tilted screen fits perfectly into the tabletop TV stand. Presenting the EISA award to the 55OLED807, in the 2022/23 OLED TV Best Buy category, the evaluators said: “The range of Philips OLED TVs in the mid-range has been enriched with the 55-inch OLED807, whose performance and technical characteristics can be said to exceed the price of a TV on the market – which is exactly why this OLED TV turned out to be so affordable. The latest high-brightness “EX” display is a perfect match for the new generation of the well-established, award-winning P5 image processor. The elegantly designed display with Ambilight and a rotating central stand delivers a truly superior experience when viewing picture-perfect black, in the most advanced HDR standard, with 4K UHD ultra sharpness and true-to-life colours. A wide range of picture settings are joined by more detailed adjustments, making the 55OLED807 suitable for both cinema TVs and those who want to experiment with all possible settings. With connectivity, including two HDMI inputs with support for video signals up to 120 frames per second and a variable refresh rate, even demanding video gamers will be satisfied. “
The EISA jury was particularly impressed with the TV “The One” (55PUS8807). They said:Dubbed “The One” from Philips, this 55 inch LED backlit LCD TV is capable of playing movies in the most advanced formats, watching TV and enjoying playing video games, all at a very affordable price. An important new feature, compared to its predecessor, is certainly the new Game Bar function, which will impress video game players with a console with HDMI 2.1 connectivity. The embedded Android TV 11 smart operating system supports advanced movie streaming services in 4K HDR formats (including HDR10+ and Dolby Vision), all backed by a high-brightness display that impresses with vivid colors even in well-lit rooms. The built-in S-IPS screen with a wide viewing angle allows every member of the family to enjoy an excellent picture, no matter where they are sitting in front of the TV.”
The Fidelio TAFB1 amplifier was once again recognized as the best product by EISA experts, saying: “DA jewel in the crown of the Philips series, the Fidelio TAFB1 amplifier with its many options delivers great performance from a single compact unit. The bass reproduction certainly stands out, and thanks to the dual tweeters built into the TAFB1, it exemplifies the power, balance and depth normally expected from an external subwoofer.
