In August, for the first time in six months, Ukrainians bought more coins than they sold

This was stated by the National Bank.

Thus, during the month of August, Ukrainians sold about $1.1 billion in cash and $199 million in non-cash currency. At the same time, Ukrainians bought nearly $1.3 billion in cash and $128 million in non-cash currency. In total, coin purchases increased by $107 million over sales during the month.

At the end of August, Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko said that the Ukrainian economy should stabilize in 2023. The official noted that the current forecast for GDP in 2023 ranges from another contraction of 0.4% to growth of 15.5% after an expected contraction of 30-35 % This year.
