Cryptocurrency market movers and shakers from the top ten and beyond
Thursday’s session was bearish for ten cryptocurrencies.
DOGE led the way, down 4.50%, with BNB (-2.76%), MATIC (-2.90%) and XRP (-2.75%) struggling.
ADA (-1.25%), BTC (-1.16%), and ETH (-1.41%) all saw relatively modest losses.
Of the CoinMarketCap Top 100, it was a mixed session.
EthereumPoW (ETHW) led the way, up 15.15%, and Trusted Wallet Tokens (TWT) and dash (DASH) saw gains of 7.27% and 5.24%, respectively.
However, BinaryX (BNX) led the way lower, down 7.33%, with dogecoin (DOGE) and apecoin (APE) among the worst performers. APE ended the day with a loss of 3.94%.
24-hour liquidations are dropping below normal levels
Over the course of the 24 hours, total liquidations have fallen below normal levels, with US economic indicators providing little comfort to the investor. The US stat failed to trigger a rebound in the cryptocurrency market from the morning’s losses, leaving the market on the edge for most of the day.
At the time of writing, liquidations over the 24-hour period were $38.53 million, up from $86.43 million Thursday morning.
Traders who liquidated in the last 24 hours are also down. At the time of writing, the number of liquidated traders is 14,122, up from 25,085 on Thursday morning. Eliminations fell under 12, 4 hours, and over an hour.
