El Salvador’s parliament has passed a digital securities law that allows the country to raise funds through the world’s first government bonds on the bitcoin blockchain.
Michelle Bowman, a member of the US Federal Reserve, said that the Fed and banking regulators will continue to study the cryptocurrency industry and try to mitigate its risks. She said the Fed does not want to discourage innovation and is thinking about the right way to regulate it.
Spot trading volume on centralized exchanges decreased by 43% at once in December 2022 compared to November. In the futures market, the drop was nearly 48%.
