Cryptocurrency market movers and shakers from the top ten and beyond
It was a bullish session for the top ten cryptocurrency.
ADA (+7.99), BTC (+7.54%), and MATIC (+7.75%) lead the way, with ETH gaining 6.92%.
However, BNB (+3.56%), DOGE (+5.64%) and XRP (+5.14%) fared worse.
From CoinMarketCap’s top 100, it was a bullish session.
Aptos (APT) rose 38.61% to lead the way with Optimism (OP) and Solana (SOL) seeing gains of 22.55% and 19.09%, respectively. SOL entered the top 10 after the Friday session, replacing MATIC.
However, UNUS SED LEO (LEO) and toncoin (TON) bucked the broader market trend, declining by 0.64% and 1.36%, respectively.
A 24-hour liquidation rally in the Bitcoin and Ethereum breakout sessions
Over the course of 24 hours, cryptocurrency liquidations increased on Friday. BTC’s return to $22,000 and ETH’s return to $1,650 led to a peak in the short liquidation. At the time of writing, liquidations over the 24-hour period were $256.32 million, up from $43.99 million Friday morning.
Traders who were liquidated in the last 24 hours are also up. At the time of writing, the number of liquidated traders is 55,336 for 15,058 on Friday morning. Cryptocurrency liquidations were highest in the 12, 4 and over 1 hours.
