Cryptocurrency Market Highlights DOGE Addresses Powell-Fueled Rally

Cryptocurrency market movers and shakers from the top ten and beyond

It was a mixed session for the cryptocurrency top ten.

SOL rose 4.52% to lead the way, with BTC (+2.54%) and ETH (+3.57%) posting strong gains.

However, ADA (+1.79%), BNB (+1.57%) and XRP (+1.86%) were the main draws, with DOGE falling -1.87% to buck the broader market trend.

From CoinMarketCap’s top 100, it was a bullish session.

Optimism (OP) rose 25.76% to lead the way, with Arweave (AR) and synthetix (SNX) rising 20.56% and 15.58%, respectively.

But UNUS SED LEO (LEO) also bucked the broader market trend, falling 5.40% to join DOGE in the red.

24-hour settlements rise in response to the Fed

Over the course of 24 hours, cryptocurrency liquidations surged in response to the delayed hack by the Federal Reserve. Short positions had the highest liquidation percentage and accounted for 62.21% of the total liquidation. At the time of writing, liquidations over the 24-hour period were $100.83 million, up from $61.12 million Wednesday morning.

Traders who were liquidated in the last 24 hours are also up. At the time of writing, the number of liquidated traders is 43,156, up from 23,306 on Wednesday morning. Cryptocurrency liquidations were higher in the 12 and 4 hours while lower in the 1 hour.
