Sand increased by 30% after the partnership with Saudi Arabia

The company behind the play-to-win blockchain game Sandbox has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Saudi Arabia’s Digital Government Authority (DGA) to encourage development in the Metaverse space.

The platform’s token – SAND – rose to $0.91 shortly after the announcement, up 27% from yesterday’s numbers.

  • Sebastien Bourguet — co-founder and COO of The Sandbox — revealed the partnership on LinkedIn and Twitter, saying that the allies will explore, advise, and support “Metaverse activations.”
  • The news caused the SAND price to expand, pushing it to $0.91. The cryptocurrency has been hovering around $0.71 for the past 24 hours, which means an increase of close to 30%.
  • This marks SAND’s best performance in three months. However, the token is still far from its all-time high of over $7.50, which was set in November 2021.

SAND’s 30% share was published after the partnership with Saudi Arabia first appeared on CryptoPotato.
